Technical Description:
The image shows an STM image (9nm x 9nm) of an intriguing cobalt sulfide "nanoflower" structure synthesized on a Au(111) surface. The structure was synthesized by physical vapor deposition of Co in an H2S atmosphere followed by a post annealing step. Following the synthesis the sample was imaged by STM (Tunneling parameters: It=0.5nA and Vt=1250mV).
