生物活性：L-精氨酸 ((S)-(+)-Arginine) 是内皮一氧化氮合酶 (eNOS) 生成 NO 的底物。 L-精氨酸通过蛋白质的阳离子氨基酸转运蛋白家族转运到血管平滑肌细胞，在那里它被代谢为一氧化氮 (NO)、多胺或 L-脯氨酸^{[1][ 2]}。
