Visualizing HIV-1 reservoirs is urgently needed to investigate HIV-1 persistence and antiretroviral drug development. In this lab, we are seeking motivated virologist to join a multi-disciplinary team including virologists and imaging specialists in the UPMC campus to visualize and quantify HIV-1 dissemination and mucosal transmission. Qualified applicants need to have experiences in BSL2+ setting, molecular cloning of HIV-1 and basic immunology related to HIV-1 infection. Expertise in vivo imaging techniques is not required, but a plus.
