Montana had a significant Chinese population at onetime that contributed to everything from mining, railroading, to operating businesses like those listed in your attachments. As such, it is not surprising that a number of Montana place names reference “China” and/or “Chinese. Nor do I believe that the list you have below is complete considering the Chinese influence in the state. Just looking at Lincoln County, I note the absence of China Basin and the Chinese Rapids (Kootenai River). I have taken the liberty of inserting a link to Chris Merritt’s dissertation The Coming Man from Canton: Chinese Experience in Montana, 1862-1943, in the hope that it will prove useful to your inquiry.
