北京时间6月28日下午,科睿唯安2022年(2021版)《期刊引证报告》(Journal Citation Reports®, JCR)正式发布。本次发布体现了新冠疫情对学术出版的影响,发表新冠病毒研究论文的期刊的引文影响力持续上升。此外,科睿唯安识别定义了一种新型的异常引文行为:引用自我堆叠(self stacking),指期刊包含一篇或多篇文献的引文高度集中于期刊本身的期刊影响因子(Journal Impact Factor, JIF)分子。
SSCI(Social Science Citation Index)即社会科学引文索引,数据库涵盖了3000多个社会科学领域世界领先的学术期刊,覆盖50多个学科。其中COMMUNICATION大类收录的SSCI期刊数目不断增加,从2018年的84种,2019年的88种,2020年的92种,增加到2022年的94种。
2022年报告显示,Communication Methods and Measures取代COMMUNICATION MONOGRAPHS成为今年新闻传播学科的榜首。Communication Methods and Measure的JIF排名由去年的第4位提升至第1位,期刊引文指标(Journal Citation Indicator, JCI )排名由第7位提升至第1位,影响因子由去年的7.882提升至8.044。科技传播领域期刊SCIENCE COMMUNICATION成为今年榜单的TOP2,影响因子从4.108飞跃至7.441,几乎翻倍。科技传播的另一本Public Understanding of Science影响因子和新闻传播学排名也有所上升,并在另一个学科History & Philosophy of Science中排名也居于TOP2, 这两本代表性期刊的TOP位置预示着科技传播方向正在异军突起。与此同时,去年排在首位的COMMUNICATION MONOGRAPHS却降至Q2区,排名第45位,影响因子从8.667降至2.695。
新闻传播学领域中影响因子超过5的期刊位13本,与去年相比增加1本;位列Q1分区的期刊共23本,平均影响因子约为5.46,其中18本期刊的JIF实现了正增长,12本期刊的JCI为负增长。四大顶刊Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication,COMMUNICATION RESEARCH,JOURNAL OF COMMUNICATION,HUMAN COMMUNICATION RESEARCH都回归了本该属于它们的一区位置。
与去年相比,今年新收录1本期刊Psychology of Popular Media,位列Q2区。该期刊为COMMUNICATION和PSYCHOLOGY多学科期刊,由教育出版基金会-美国心理学会出版。去年上榜的PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS,JOURNAL OF MEDIA ECONOMICS两种期刊在本次评估中缺席。
Q1区的期刊中,有5本期刊从去年的Q2区中发展而来,有了较大的提升和进步,从高到低依次为HUMAN COMMUNICATION RESEARCH,PUBLIC RELATIONS REVIEW,TELECOMMUNICATIONS POLICY,RESEARCH ON LANGUAGE AND SOCIAL INTERACTION,COMMUNICATION THEORY这5本期刊。去年位列Q1的期刊,有4本期刊今年被划为Q2区,依次为Journalism Studies,JOURNALISM & MASS COMMUNICATION QUARTERLY,Journalism,COMMUNICATION MONOGRAPHS。特别是COMMUNICATION MONOGRAPHS去年可是新闻传播类所有期刊的TOP1。另有1本去年位列Q1的期刊被划为Q3区,为INFORMATION SOCIETY。由此可见,SSCI每年的期刊名录具备一定的不稳定性,个别高引论文可能会带动一本期刊影响因子的快速提升和剧烈波动。为此,JCR从去年开始统计性的公布了每个大类期刊的JCI。JCI作为一个新指标,是使用字段归一化计算来衡量期刊近三年来发表的所有文章包括评论文章影响力的新路径, JCI与影响因子将共同作为期刊质量评价的参考。影响因子突然增加的期刊可能JCI并不太高,而老牌的权威期刊影响因子或有下跌但JCI仍可以保持较高水平, JCI的引入对于水平较为稳定的权威期刊以及影响因子普遍较低的学科很有价值。
Open Access开放获取被认为是挑战传统学术出版产业链的新趋势,由作者付费以便所有读者可以免费获得全文,但也在争议中不断扩大学术版图,很多期刊采用了混合出版模式,即作者可以选择是否OA。今年新闻传播学的平均OA比例约为15.67%,相比去年增加将近5%。
