1. Irradiation of cerebella at P1 results in a major loss of the EGL by P3, but growth largely recovers and motor behavior is intact at P30.
2. The EGL is progressively replenished after injury.
3. NEPs populate the EGL and generate granule cells and rescue growth.
4. PCL NEPs expand and migrate into the EGL after injury.
5. WM NEPs delay their expansion and production of interneurons and astroglia.
6. SHH signaling is required for NEPs to expand and populate the EGL and for substantial recovery of the cerebellum.
