我这位“师弟”其实是师兄，在清华本科的时候5字班，高我一级。大一暑期东灵山生态实习的时候，我们六字班和五字班一起去。这位师兄递给下山一步一跌的我一根拐棍，从此让俺把他当成了生物系第一大善人  后来大三下学期本科找实验室，进入饶老师的实验室暑期实习，恰好是跟着这位师兄以及一个大牛博士生陈宇航，于是更成了名副其实的师兄。尽管这两位师兄都是人极好，不过记忆中，他们总是让我刷试管，好像我曾经咬牙切齿以灰太狼的口气对他们说：等着瞧，以后做你们师姐，让你们刷试管！

 

后来本科毕业，这位师兄去了香港科技大学读硕士；第二年，我则去了Princeton读PhD。再一次知道这位师兄的消息，就是他申请PhD了。有一段故事，曾经在一篇博文里面写过，很多人也猜出是谁了  《“行”胜于言？--写给清华男生 》

 

于是这位师兄晚我两年进入到Princeton，又进入到一公的实验室。我为了报当年刷试管之仇，霸气地要求当师姐，遂愿，只不过我们实验室不需要刷试管，很遗憾没办法欺负一下师弟。

 

他在一公实验室读PhD期间，发的paper数量不算多，只不过一篇Nature，一篇Cell，一篇Science；2007年去了偶的偶像Rod MacKinnon实验室做postdoc，继续让人炫目的track record。去年开始找工作。我听说这两年在美国似乎找工作不是那么容易，不过这位“师弟”拿了不少好学校的offer，犹豫了相当一段时间后，最终选了Stanford偶的另一个偶像Brian Kobilka的那个系。由衷为他高兴。

 

 

哦 对了，这位师弟叫冯亮，是一公实验室里面出来的让我最佩服的三个同事之一，现在在Stanford开工啦，诚招博后，具体信息如下，有兴趣的同学可以联系一下哦。

 

A postdoc position is available in a newly established Lab at Stanford University School of Medicine to study eukaryotic membrane protein structure and function.

 

Research in the lab focuses on mechanistic understanding of ion channels, transporters and membrane-embedded enzymes and their applications. The work will involve protein production, biophysical characterization, functional assay and structure determination by X-ray crystallography.

 

We are seeking highly motivated applicants with substantial experience in molecular biology, protein expression and biochemistry. Prior experience in X-ray crystallography is a plus point but not required. The candidate is expected to play an active and collaborative role in the lab and the department.
