Pathogenic Fungi and Health
1 Background
Pathogenic fungi are closely related to human health. Current research in the field of pathogenic fungi mainly focuses on classification and identification of pathogenic fungi, biological characteristics of pathogenic fungi, interaction between pathogenic fungi and the host, diagnosis and treatment of pathogenic fungi, and so on. In the future, researches will pay more attention to the classification and identification methods of pathogenic fungi based on new technologies, multidisciplinary research on pathogenic fungi, important pathogenic fungi (such as Candida albicans, Candida auris, Candida, Cryptococcus, Talaromyces marneffei, Zygomycetes, Malassezia, Trichosporon, etc.), the control technology of pathogenic fungi etc, which will directly change human health and quality of life.
