Stuessy最近几年一口气写了好几本植物系统学教科书,总体来说都偏向方法论,而并不是如主流教科书那样以罗列植物各个类群为主要内容(如最近李德铢等翻译的《植物系统学》和国内原文影印Simpson的Plant Systmatics)。
从目录内容来看,本书核心内容是分子系统学的方法与原理,应该更适合研究生学习与使用。
我认为掌握了一定的植物识别、鉴定能力后,掌握系统学较新的方法、原理来说就更重要了。我想这本教科书应该能满足我的期望,毕竟这三位作者都是现今植物系统学研究的牛人。
相比而言,国内的教科书已落后太多年了,即是是近年出版的教材也是内容陈旧,还总有东抄西搬的。不怪大家崇洋媚外。
期待早日拜读此书。是否有人愿意翻译呢?
