有关SCI文章署名时学位缩写问题

“我有篇文章已修回，有可能被接受。按照惯例，署名时都要注上学位缩写，比如M.D,Ph.D 等等。但我只是硕士毕业，学校统一发得是医学硕士。这样在署名时，我的学位应该是M.Sc,还是M.D, 或别的?哪一个更符合国际惯例？我没看到过MSc,但M.D 似乎是医学博士的缩写。我也在丁香园内搜索过，有说写成M.D的，这样会不会被当成是造假？我不了解，想请您指点一下,谢谢！”
曾经不止一个战友问我类似问题。
我的答复是如实填写。国际上并没有什么惯例可言。比如医学硕士，可写成M.M. 或 M. Med. (见本人发表的两篇论文：

M.M. 或 M.Med. = Master of Medicine; Ph.D. = Docotor of Philosophy; M.D=Doctor of Medicine; and M.B.B.S. = Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (英国学位体制）.
至于有人认为，国内“医学硕士”、甚至"医学学士"可以写成“M.D."。原因可能是，在美国，医学毕业共需8年时间，所以，毕业生毕业即可获得M.D. 其他国家包括中国医学毕业生（学士学位）在美国往往可被视为M.D.同等学历（Equivalent)。但本人认为，M.D. equivalent与M.D.还是有区别的。更何况，上述M.D. equivalent仅限美国，而且只用在某些情况（如考医师执照时资格认定等）。
所以，我认为，在论文署名上还是实事求是的好。学士能发论文只能证明你有水平，而“虚报”M.D.却有夸大、作假之嫌。
