2017年11月,我国暗物质粒子探测卫星“悟空”(Dark Matter Particle Explorer,DAMPE)发布了首个科学成果。
“悟空”卫星在轨运行的前530天共采集了约28亿高能宇宙射线,其中包含约150万25 GeV以上的电子宇宙射线,首次直接探测到电子宇宙射线能谱在大约1 TeV处存在拐折现象,对于研究电子宇宙射线的起源和加速机制,以及是否包含暗物质贡献起着重要作用。
《中国科学: 物理学 力学 天文学》英文版2018年第10期组织出版了“The Impact of DAMPE Results on Dark Matter Indirect Searches”英文专题,由吴岳良院士、蔡荣根院士和中国科学院理论物理所周宇峰研究员担任特邀编辑。专题包括1篇邀请综述和4篇研究论文,具体内容如下:
