Science for the Future: A World-class Summit http://www6.cityu.edu.hk/cityu25/events/science21stcentury/conference_index.html
The remarkable progress in science of the past centuries has changed the world in many fundamental and practical ways. Scientists, their discoveries and the application of scientific knowledge have provided solutions to many human problems by improving our lives, bringing better health, creating new opportunities and generating more wealth.
The World Academicians Conference on “Where is Science Going in the 21st Century?” will gather some of the best minds in science from all over the world to look at the impact of science on society through chemistry, computer science, engineering, life sciences, physics and mathematics; and to discuss future directions of scientific advancement, the role of education policy in propelling scientific discoveries, and the relationship between science and society at large.
The conference provides a platform for scientists, policy makers and the public to exchange views and discuss the future of science from local, regional and international perspectives.
The conference is part of the series of Science for the Future: A World-class Summit organized to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of City University of Hong Kong. The Summit gathers world academicians, including Nobel Laureates to discuss topical issues relevant to the world of today and tomorrow.
All are welcome. Free registration.
