Congratulations on your most cited article in GCB!
Dear Dr. Biswas:
We are writing to congratulate you on your article published in Global Change Biology (GCB). Of all the 724 articles the journal has published since January 2008, your paper is one of the 25 most-cited since publication according to Web of Science, placing it among the top 3% of articles.
GCB continues to go from strength to strength. Although a relatively young journal, our Impact Factor is now consistently above 5.5. Journal Citation Reports ranks GCB as the top journal in Biodiversity and Conservation, while ISI ScienceWatch ranked GCB 3rd in the list of most-cited journals in Climate Change Research, 1999-2009 (First and second places were Nature and Science respectively). However, our most important achievement is the fact that authors, such as yourself, see GCB as a leading outlet for their best work. We are striving to continue to improve the experience, decreasing average decision times (now 50 days) and time from acceptance to publication. We are also adding new sections to the new enhanced journal website and twitter feeds. At the same time we have been able to grow our support in the form of sponsorship of speakers and students to participate in selected meetings. But as always we are keen to hear ideas from our leading authors.
Thank you once again for your contribution to GCB. We hope you will continue to consider GCB for the outlet for your best work.
Yours truly,
Steve Long and Rachel Shekar, and on behalf of our Editors, staff, and the Publisher.
