Title: Mathematics in Grades One to Eight at the Waldorf Schools
Abstract: Ted has taught for twenty-one years in Oslo, Norway and Princeton, New Jersey. He was part of the school board for 16 years and was the principal for three of those years. He has written books on teenage personality development, English grammar and The Philosophy of Freedom. In this talk, he will begin with a short introduction to Waldorf Education and to child development between the ages of six and fourteen, and to explain the Waldorf conviction that Body Movements Are Invisible Thinking, Mathematical Thinking Is Inner Movements.
