SCIATRAN Assist include two division, i.e. SCIAssitPar, a EXE program for setting modeling parameters, and SCIAssitFun, MATLAB function for getting and setting SCIATRAN database. SCIAssitPar will help you to set the most freqently used parameters in SCIATRAN, as provided in SCIATRAN Assist v4.0:

1)solar zenith angles, solar azimuth angles, tangent altitudes in control_geom.inp
2)wavelength, date, longitutde and latitude, surface type in control.inp

furthermore, by SCIAssitFun you are able to:

1)get the profiles from SCIATRAN profile database in MATLAB
2)set the profiles into SCIATRAN profile database in MATLAB
3)reset the profiles into SCIATRAN profile database in MATLAB
4)perturb the profiles in the SCIATRAN in MATLAB
4)load the modeled intensitivity in MATLAB

The SCIATRAN Assist was developled by Zijun Wang, Dept. Remote Sensing & GIS, Jilin Univ. From verion 4.0, the SCIAssitPar can and only be run on Linux (test on Ubuntu 10.04)  once users set the parameters file - CreateControlInp.par, which a sample setting is:
