为大外孙在纽约夏令营活动登记注册再上曼哈顿

今天下午是来美后第二次驱车进曼哈顿,目的地是第59街和第九大道交界处的

Speyer LegacySchool,这里是大外孙于7月20日-8月7日在该学校参加夏令营活动的地方。今天是夏令营组织方要求家长带领参加夏令营活动进行注册登记和参观的时间,数学班登记时间在1:00-2:00间。大外孙的父母和我参加了这一活动,也有利于他妈妈送到学校，而由我和老伴下午3；45分接他回家。我们12时从Chappaqua,NY家中出发,2点前抵达学校,在附近停车场停车。2时结束，3时回到家中。

Hello CTY New YorkParents

We are getting so excited for the program to begin! Here are a few remindersas we get ready for the coming session:

1.       Registration is this Sunday,July 19^th, and is broken down by times based on class for trafficflow in the building. Registration is a time to see the school, meet the staff,and check paperwork. We highly encourage families to attend if possible. Timesare as follows:

·        Math Students (including Introduction to Robotics): Please arrive toregister between 1:00PM and 1:55PM

·         ScienceStudents: Please arrive to register between 2:00PM and 2:55PM

·         Humanitiesand Writing Students: Please arrive to register between 3:00PM and 3:55PM

If you can’t make your assigned time you may come at another time but yourteacher may be unavailable to meet. If families are unable to attendRegistration they may come to Speyeron the first day of the program between 8:00AM and 8:30AM (or 7:30 if they aredoing before-care).

2.       CTY islocated at 925 9^th  Avenue, New York, NY 10019,at the intersection of 9^th  Avenue and W. 59^th Street. Directions arein the site packet in your MyCTY account and an area map is included in thepacket. Please enter the building using the entrance on W. 59^th Street. You will bedirected to CTY Registration when you enter the building.

3.       Wesent out book and supply lists for the program by email. If you did not receivethat list please let me know. Please have all of those materials for the firstday of class - you do not need to bring the items on Sunday. We do not expectstudents to read or review any materials before the program begins.

4.       If youhave not yet completed your online forms via MyCTY please do that before theprogram begins. This includes parts 1 and 2 of the medical form and theAuthorization to Pick Up. This second form is required for all students even ifonly their parents/guardians will be authorized as it lets us know who will getthe students each day and in event of an emergency. Please bring copies of allforms, especially the medical forms, with you Sunday or Monday morning.

IMPORTANT: Please note that there is nodouble-parking or idling allowed on 59^th  Street or 9^th Avenue. We stronglyencourage the use of public transportation to and from the site on a dailybasis (the school is conveniently located very close to the 59^th St/Columbus Circle subway station). Pleasebe aware that parking in Manhattancan prove quite challenging. It is particularly important to note that duringafternoon pick-up, cars will not be allowed to double-park or idle to wait forstudents – all parents and authorized adults must come into the building topick up/sign out their students.
