根据介绍 125 Park Ave., Danbury, CT 06810的Military Museum of Southern New England “opened in 1995 as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of our nation's military history. The original intent of the museum was to maintain the memory of American Tank Destroyer units of the Second World War.
Over our 20 year history, thanks to generous donations and the hard work of many unpaid volunteers, the museum's collection has expanded to over 10,000 artifacts, covering all of the armed forces of the United States. We currently display a vivid cross-section of 20th century American military history. Many of our vehicles are extremely rare, often the only examples in the Western Hemisphere!
The museum staff is composed primarily of unpaid volunteers who are responsible for designing and installing exhibits, running the gift shop, and participating in public events.”(http://www.usmilitarymuseum.org/)

If you ever wanted to check out tanks up close and personal, this is the place for you. The museum consists of both an indoor and outdoor section. The indoor section has a lot of WWII related memorabilia including at least one swastika. There are many hand weapons on display that I have never seen before in person. The outdoor section has many old tanks that you can touch
The military Museum of southern New England is a great place to go. it is fun for the whole family and for military enthusiasts. they have great exhibits with the real old wood manages that look more realistic, not the wax ones. they also have real WW2 vehicles and tanks and they allow you to go on them. but be a little careful because there a little rusty. they also have a great gift shop with replica toy tanks that really shoot and have smoke pour out the back like a real tank. this a truly a wonderful museum to go to to learn something and also to be amazed by there exhibits which have real WW2 guns on display.
