世界前50名大型期刊及新动向
如果以年度为检索词,可以查到1955-2012年之间全世界发表文献总数量为41,472,541,考虑到一些文献类型不容易说明问题,选择articleeditorialreviewletter等类型,则文献总数量变为32,053,187。
然后按照出版物排名前50名杂志,则可发现前50大杂志总发表论文数量为3,390,335(占全部论文总数量的10.58 %),其中第一名为Nature。这里比较酸的想法是,Nature是世界第一、二高水平的杂志,论文数量也是第一名,竟然有15万篇之多,我们在上面发表一篇竟然那么难?无论分数高低,单从发文数量考虑,前50大发表论文数量最大的期刊应该都是期刊中的中流砥柱,在这些期刊中,有的分数很高例如NS,也有的分数一般,但由于发表论文数量巨大,在国际上的影响都比较大。从这些论文发表的情况可以看出一些重要信息,可以看出我们国家的学术论文档次是在国际上什么相对位置上。
需要特别强调的是,虽然Plos one没有进入历史排行榜。但从年度上看,2011年发表论文数量最多的期刊是Plos one,达到12000篇(版面费为1.5千万美元,来自中国学者大概有150万美元,相当于人民币1千万)(几乎占2011年世界论文数量的2%)。这个杂志已经成为航母级别的期刊,发表周期短,几乎来者不拒(在一定质量的前提下,没有任何论文数量限制)。这样的一个数量是十分可怕的,每月1000篇,每周每期200篇,每天30篇,每小时1.5篇的发行速度。是传统大刊JBC的3倍。要知道一个杂志年度发表论文数量能达到1000篇,就属于大型学术期刊。例如Nature Medicine年度发表论文数量只有500篇不到。Brain res这样的大型期刊一年就1200篇左右。以论文数量大而著名的JBC也只有5000篇。从发展趋势看,这个杂志将成为人类历史上发表论文数量最多,总被引用次数最多的期刊。是国际学术论文的黑洞,单纯分析这个杂志就可以看出许多有意思的信息,将来研究期刊的人将会重点关注这个杂志的发展趋势,吸取其成功的经验。
如果对该杂志发表论文的数量不吃惊,可以比较一下如下数字。它相当于美国2011年(世界发表论文的30%)发表论文数量的4%(确实2011美国学者在这个杂志上发表论文超过5000篇,占美国所有论文的2%)。是论文数量第二多的中国学者发表论文总数的15%(中国学者在上面发表1400篇,大概是1%)。这个杂志档次不算高,许多美国学者发表在这里属于无奈,而许多中国学者发表这里是一种追求,这大概就是最大的不同。

请注意美国在这两个顶级杂志发表论文的比例有很大区别,另一个国家在这两个杂志上发表论文的数量也有比较大的区别ENGLAND,不过正好相反,说明杂志在那个国家,那个国家的科学家发表论文的数量会相对多一些,无论这个杂志的水平怎么样。我们中国的国产SCI杂志发表中国学者的论文比例也比较大,因此要有数量的巨大发展,就必须有本土杂志的巨大发展。
