在当代社会，概率统计学科逐渐受到人们的重视。因为人们逐渐意识到很多现实问题是随机现象而不是确定现象，而刻画随机现象的数学模型就是概率论，处理大数据分析的学科就是统计学。

在我国，概率论与数理统计是数学学科下属的二级学科。而统计学则已是理学学科门类下属的一级学科了。

概率论与数理统计的主要期刊，我搜索了一下，

这个网站提到的2014年度概率统计的SCI期刊已有66种至多。

我对统计了解不多，下面就把概率论的主要期刊介绍一下。

通常简称ptrf.

这是Springer出的杂志。该杂志质量相当高，上面发表的论文覆盖概率学科各领域。

2. Annals of probability

通常简称annals。

这是IMS (Institute of mathematical statistics)出的杂志。Annals是与ptrf齐名的杂志。

3. Annals of applied probabillity

这也是IMS的杂志。由于概率论的应用日趋广泛，有专门杂志刊登偏应用的概率文章也不足为奇。这本杂志上很多文章很有趣，理论性不如上面的2，但是问题的实际背景多。

4. Stochastic processes and applications

这是Bernoullis society for mathematical statistics and probability出的杂志。由于现代概率论的主要研究对象是随机过程，所以有杂志专门收录“随机过程”的文章不足为奇。

此外，一般性的数学杂志也都会收录概率文章。一般说来，顶级数学杂志收录的概率文章要比专门性的概率文章质量高。某些离散数学，泛函分析，数学物理，理论计算机的杂志中的文章也与概率论有关。还有专题会议的论文也是一大块。
