今天看文献遇到一个词，叫haplosufficiency。该词找不到解释和汉译，为了丰富中文互联网和为后进者提供足够的资讯，笔者遍查英文网上资源，勉强给出译名及提供两条解释如下。

 

“haplosufficiency”由“haplo”和“sufficiency”合成，“haplo”的意思为“single（单个的、单倍的）”，而“sufficiency”意思为“adequate或enough（足够的、充足的）”。因此将它译为“单倍足够性”（读起来有点别扭）。

 

单倍足够性（haplosufficiency）定义：

1、Recessive alleles (any one of a number of viable DNA codings of the same gene) typically produce little or no product. One instance of the wild-type allele produces sufficient product to result in a dominant phenotype. This is called haplo-sufficiency. 隐性等位基因通常产生很少的产物（RNA或蛋白质）或根本不产生产物（RNA或蛋白质），而一个野生型等位基因就可产生足够的产物（RNA或蛋白质），从而使个体表现显性表型。

2、Diseases caused by recessive mutations require both alleles to be affected, as the production of a functional protein from one allele is often enough to satisfy physiological requirements. 隐性突变导致的疾病需要两个等位基因都是隐性突变才能产生，因为只要一个等位基因产生有功能蛋白就足以满足（正常的）生理需求。
