2016 Nobel Prize in Physics

The Nobel Prize in Physics 2016 was divided, one half awarded to David J. Thouless, the other half jointly to F. Duncan M. Haldane and J. Michael Kosterlitz "for theoretical discoveries of topological phase transitions and topological phases of matter".

2016诺贝尔物理学奖分，一半授予David J. Thouless，另一半为F.邓肯M.霍尔丹和J. Michael Kosterlitz分享，因他们理论发现的拓扑相变和物质拓扑相。

David James Thouless (born 21 September 1934)1980年前是英国伯明翰大学数学物理的教授，后为西雅图的华盛顿大学物理教授（He was a professor of mathematical physics at Birmingham University in the United Kingdom before becoming a professor of physics at the University of Washington in Seattle in 1980.）

Frederick Duncan Michael Haldane FRS (born 14 September 1951)（生于14九月1951）是英国物理学家，现为美国普林斯顿大学物理系Eugene Higgins物理学教授。

John Michael Kosterlitz是出生于英国（1942, Aberdeen, United Kingdom）美国布朗大学（Brown University, Providence, RI, USA）的物理学教授。
