重要的学术论文最终会被发掘出来

      重要的学术论文发表在那没关系,最终会被发掘出来。但是,最好是用英文发表。

       我发现,在http://www.adsabs.harvard.edu (物理学)数据库里,于2006年把下面两篇文章选进去了,而Chen Zhi-da Applied Mathematics and Mechanics 上的论文没有被该数据库选入。

       被选入的文章:一篇是1987年的一篇地区性会议论文集;一篇是1994年的期刊论文。在2006-2009年间读者不多,在2010年后,读者明显增加。

       但是,我可以肯定,国内读者几乎不可能读到这两篇文章。

       然而这是没有意义的话。事实上,who cares ?

Updated co-moving coordinate formulation of continuum mechanics based on the S-R decomposition theorem

This paper presents a new updated co-moving coordinate formulation for nonlinear analysis of continuum mechanics. The incremental variational equation is derived by using the energy principle of power form. Then, the updated co-moving coordinate formulation is developed. Numerical examples are presented.

 

 

Finite rotation and finite strain formulation in the nonlinear theory of shells

By using the geometrical field theory of nonlinear continuum mechanics of Chen (1985, 1979), a method for analyzing finite rotation and finite strain of shells is developed. The formulations here provide a reasonable basis for further theoretical and numerical analysis. Many well-known classical results can be obtained easily by suitable approximation. A special displacement interpolation function of the degenerated curved shell element is set up, which takes finite rotation and finite strain into consideration simultaneously. The shell element formulation presented here allows large load increments with good accuracy.
