如何从叶片光合研究植被-气候相互作用?

我收到工作广告,总是很有兴趣读一下。国外招聘广告,一般是博士后,实际上就是项目启动,准备找人干活。所以这就是未来的研究方向。今天收到下面信息,就是想从叶片的光合做到大尺度,甚至全球尺度。


Berkeley Lab’s Climate &Ecosystem Sciences Division has anopening for a Postdoctoral Researcher. This postdoctoral researcher positionwill focus on developing a theoretical understanding of acclimation of leafphotosynthesis and respiration, and explore implications for globalphotosynthesis and the carbon cycle, based at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab.The successful candidate may focus on several groups of processes relevant tophotosynthesis and autotrophic respiration, including: nutrient and carboninteractions, within canopy allocation, scaling from leaves to landscapes, andecosystem demographics. I am particularly interested in integrating theory ofleaf resource allocation with observations to develop parsimoniousprocess-level descriptions of the acclimation of photosynthesis and respiration,using a variety of observations, and integrating discoveries intostate-of-the-art land surface models. Analyzing and quantifying uncertainty infeedbacks between the atmosphere and terrestrial biosphere will be importantcomponents of the research. The ideal candidate will be highly creative, havestrong numerical and critical thinking skills, experience working with largedatasets, and a working familiarity with the processes governing rates ofphotosynthesis and respiration.
