Welcome and Scope

Following the successes of the past 6 editions, we are proud to introduce and welcome you to the 7^thSymposium on Biodegradable Metals in Riva Marina Resort, in Apulia region, 18 km from Brindisi, South Italy, from Sunday August 23 to Friday August 28, 2015. This year again, the symposium will emphasize its academic-conference-style with an openly discursive format, rather than a lecture and question–answer format. This style will be completed by the traditional discussions and the unconventional daily free-time sessions early in the afternoon. Behind the presentations, this symposium aims to discuss open questions on the session topics, new approaches, background knowledge, and personal views among the participants. Furthermore, discussions at the poster session will focus on specific topics and will encourage the participants to raise critical questions or help each other advancing the field of biodegradable metals.

The traditional Workshop on Monday Aug 24 will give the tone of the conference. This year, especially for our participants, the theme of Clinics and Biometals was selected. By bringing clinical experience directly from the operating theatre it is expected to inspire future research in the field to become translational thus enhancing the potential through real applications.

The resort environment, in one of the most wild and not-yet-highly touristic regions of South Italy will complete the experience we intend to offer to the attendees. The location was especially selected for bringing the attendees in a new region to explore, know and be inspired from.

If potentially interested, we strongly suggest you to do not wait last minute to register, the number of attendees is limited and registration will be treated on the principle first arrived – first served.
