乙醛酸循环-glyoxylate cycle
途径见下(来自biocyc.org)
Summary:
The glyoxylate cycle bypasses reactions of TCA cycle in which CO(2) is released, and conserves 4 carbon compounds for biosynthesis. Pathway is active when growth on 2 carbon compounds requires conservation of 4 carbon TCA intermediates. The reaction is anaplerotic. 2 acetylCoA are taken up per turn. AcetylCoA is generated by acetate thiokinase (acetate + CoA + ATP = acetylCoA + AMP + Pi) or by β oxidation of fatty acids. Glyoxylate cycle is repressed during growth on glucose, induced by growth on acetate. See comment about pathway interactions under TCA pathway. (From biocyc.org).
