A polymeric matrix suitable to host CO2 facilitated transport carriers was optimized by blending PVA and PVP. The water-retention of the blend membrane and the processability for thin-film coating were improved, showing synergetic enhancement on CO2 separation permeance.

The nitrogen and sulfur co-doped graphene aerogel (N/S-GA) was prepared using a low toxic precursor. The specific capacitance of the N/S-GA for supercapacitors with ionic liquid as electrolyte is 169.4 F g−1, with an energy density of 84.5 Wh kg−1.

We have combined the model calculations with the DFT calculations to understand the nature of the size effects in Pt/CNTs catalyzed base-free glycerol oxidation. The Pt(100) facet has been identified as the dominant active sites for both the glycerol conversion and the products formation.

This study evaluates the hydrocarbon potential of shale samples of Mamu Formation in western flank of Anambra Basin, Nigeria. Quantity, type and thermal maturity of the organic matter were interpreted. The study concludes that the shale is of low hydrocarbon source potential.

An improved correlation was developed and applied to predict pure and impure CO2-oil MMP using ten influencing parameters. The results showed that this correlation provided high prediction accuracy and outperforms the literature correlations, and shows a great match with an experimentally measured MMP value.

Solution-diffusion model was modified to calculate the nanofiltration values of ionic liquids aqueous solutions based on ion cluster that has significant influence on the parameters used in the model, such as the size of solute and the concentrations of feed solution and filtrate solution.

Dye-sensitized TiO2@SBA-15composites: Preparation and their application in photocatalytic desulfurization

TiO2@SBA-15 was sensitized with DCQ to extend its spectral response from ultraviolet to visible light. Then, DCQ-TiO2@SBA-15 has a better performance than its unsensitized counterpart, and the desulfurization rate can reach up to 96.1 % in 90 min.
