I'm an English teacher at Fujian University of Technology,China.My research interests are corpus-based translation studies and metaphorical studies.
This is the first chapter for sciencenet, and I hope to express my gratitude to sciencenet for its enlightenment and inspirations I obtained long time ago. I also thank the first blogger-who I paid much attention from sciencenet-Yu-Chi Ho(何毓琦）, thanks for his instructions and rich experience.
I hope my blog can do something special: 
1, being a honest friend for my dear teachers, students and friends, trying to share the opinions with them;
2, trying my best to record the success and failure on the research topics ,teaching activities, making friends etc which can offer some useful information to others;
3, trying to make some corpora for translation studies and metaphorical language;
4,writing down everything learnt from the books and communications with others.

It's time for us to ask the following questions:
1, How to become a good teacher and researcher in the high-speed 
development of economy, science and technology? How to face the challenge from outside world?
2, How to face the paradox which always happen to us in the society?
3, What's your standard for a good friend?
so, we can try to find the answers from all aspects.
I love reading a lot in the spare time, and I hope I can find the answers to these questions.
Being a happy man: a clear conscience is a sure card; and loving your friends, for  friends can bring you treasure, comfort and encouragement.
and never afraid of your faults which you once made, I'll give you a piece of suggestion: a fault confessed is half redressed.
Never afraid of adversity in your research, teaching and life, and we should remember: adversity successfully overcome is the highest glory in your life.
