The journal publishes original papers, review articles, case studies and other material for the professional in the fundamentals, applications and management of bioresource technology. The journal's aim is to advance and disseminate knowledge in all related areas such as biomass, biological waste treatment, bioenergy, biotransformations and bioresource systems analysis, and technologies associated with conversion or production. Both high–technology and low–technology methods, processes and systems are covered. Topics include:
• Bioprocesses: Bioleaching, bioseparation, biotransformation, other microbial fermentations, etc.
• Biomass & Feedstocks utilization: agro-industrial residues, composting, enzymatic pulping, etc.
• Environmental protection: biological waste treatment.
• Thermochemical conversion technologies: combustion, pyrolysis, gasification, catalysis, etc.
• Biochemical conversion technologies: aerobic and anaerobic processes, microbial and enzymatic processes and products.
• Products: Microbial-based products such as biofuels, biofertilisers, biopolymers and other industrial products.
• Management: modelling, systems analysis, etc.
The journal also includes reports of conferences, book reviews, news items, details of forthcoming meetings and contributions describing industrial applications.
Bioresource Technology is affiliated with Biomass Energy Research Association, USA[BERA]  and Biomass and Biofuels Association UK [BABA].

Computers and Electronics in Agriculture provides international coverage of advances in the development and application of computer hardware, software and electronic instrumentation and control systems for solving problems in agriculture and related industries. These include agronomy, horticulture (in both its food and amenity aspects), forestry, aquaculture, animal/livestock science, veterinary medicine, and food processing.
The journal publishes original papers, reviews, applications notes and book reviews on topics including computerized decision-support aids (e.g., expert systems and simulation models) pertaining to any aspect of the aforementioned industries; electronic monitoring or control of any aspect of livestock/crop production (e.g. soil and water, environment, growth, health, waste products) and post-harvest operations (such as drying, storage, production assessment, trimming and dissection of plant and animal material). Relevant areas of technology include artificial intelligence, sensors, machine vision, robotics and simulation modelling.

Official journal of the Aquacultural Engineering Society (AES)
Aquacultural Engineering is concerned with the design and development of effective aquacultural systems for marine and freshwater facilities. The journal aims to apply the knowledge gained from basic research which potentially can be translated into commercial operations.
Problems of scale-up and application of research data involve many parameters, both physical and biological, making it difficult to anticipate the interaction between the unit processes and the cultured animals. Aquacultural Engineering aims to develop this bioengineering interface for aquaculture and welcomes contributions in the following areas:
– engineering and design of aquaculture facilities
– engineering-based research studies
– construction experience and techniques
– in-service experience, commissioning, operation
– materials selection and their uses
– quantification of biological data and constraints
Style of presentation is flexible, but those papers dealing with specific problems should attempt to define them clearly in terms of systems engineering, quantifying the constraints, proposing solutions, implementing and detailing the design, and finally evaluating the outcome.
