The 2014 Impact Factor for the Journal of Mountain Science is out now. The changing trends in the past years can be seen from the figure below.

I'll take this opportunity to thank the authors, reviewers, editorial board members, readers and all others who contribute to this journal for their valued commitmen.   

Presently, Journal of Mountain Science ranks 171 of 221 journals in impact factor (according to the Journal Citation Reports). It is in Q4 in the Quartile in Category, but very close to Q3. Our next year's target is to rank the journal in Q3.

From 2016 on, the Journal of Mountan Science will be published monthly, i.e., 12 issues each year. Now we have recruited a group of active international scientists acting as editors to manage the manuscripts so as to speed up the manuscript processing and improve the manuscript editing quality. Generally, most manuscripts can have a decision within two months and many can have a decision within one month.
