摘要：

1) There is a quantity interpretable as a quantum pressure p which relates the energy of a system to the virtual motions of confining walls.The integral is then the difference between the energy of an enclosed system and one that is not;

2) This "pressure" plays a role in rough surface scattering.One calculates the change in a quadratic form caused by a rigid translation of the scattering surface and compares the results to known changes in scattering amplitudes resulting from the same translation.
