Hotel review: Galaxy Hotel on Zhongshan Road W in Shanghai

The hotel is 13 km from the Hongqiao Airport.You can get to the hotel via a taxi for RMB44. The nice thing about the hotel is you can take a shuttle bus around the corner to the Pudong Airport. (I was told, and will go check it out.)
The hotel looks great from the outside, but the carpet inside my non-smoking room is quite dirty. For a non-smoking room, I have to pay 20% extra. I thought it should be the other way around, charging the smokers 20% extra, for extra cleaning. (I know it's my wishful thinking, but one can, and should, always dream.)
The voice in the elevator announces in English only. I felt I was back in the U.S., but I thought it may imply all foreign devils are stupid (who need to be told which floor it is, while the Chinese people just KNOW).
I also notice the toilet flushes with great force. I feel sorry for the water wasted. Maybe the change will come someday, soon. I need to be more patient (and do nothing).
Now, I need to go look for some simple breakfast, since I cannot imagine paying RMB110+ for breakfast, no matter how good it may be. Plus, I need to lose weight!
