Escargot is nothing but a French word for snail

I met a friend for lunch at the mall, and needed a walk afterwards. That's the best time to pick up some grocery. (Right, don't go grocery shopping before dinner, or you tend to buy 50% more than you would otherwise.)

I picked up some usual stuff, chicken (with no bones and no skin), tofu, etc. Then, I saw escargot, and thought that I never had a chance to eat snail in France when I was there last month. So, why not get some and cook myself? I asked the staff how to cook them, and he said it's easy. Right, 10 mins at 350F. Easy!

It was as easy as he said, but I am not sure I liked the taste. What do they taste like? Nothing. With no taste. Ok, I did taste the green garlic butter, and it's salty, too. Very disappointed. Need to go back to France to taste the real French cooking.
