Life imprisonment vs. death penalty

已有 2788 次阅读 2011-4-14 09:28 |个人分类:Thoughts of Mine|系统分类:观点评述| death, imprisonment, penalty

I am against death penalty, for two reasons:

1) Humans are not chives, according to Chairman Mao, so cutting one’s head off needs to wait until the technology is advanced to the point that the body parts can be frozen forever in case the conviction is proven wrong later on and the head could be put back to the body successfully.

2) Living in a jail cell is a lot harder than “living in hell,” because we don’t know whether or not there is indeed hell. What if there is no hell? Then, there is no suffering in the afterlife for the guilt one.

Am I wrong?
