语态不外乎主动与被动。

 

语态对科学家来说， 非常简单。没有谁的文章是因为语态没有用对，被拒稿的。（如果有，请举手。）对英语语言大师来说，被动语态是非常有争议的话题。两派可以一直吵到下个世纪。但是，我们“外行人”不必去瞎掺乎。

 

也许，语态不像我说的这么简单。如果你有好的建议，请留言。我慢慢补充。

 

我只想举一个例子：

 

Tool #1, tool #2, tool #3, tool $4, tool #5, tool #6, and tool #7 were used in this experiment.

 

这句话错了吗？没有错。但是，我的小心脏一直吊在半空中，因为我在等 “动词”（were used）!

 

我们可以用：

In this experiment, we used the following tools: tool #1, tool #2, tool #3, tool $4, tool #5, tool #6, and tool #7.
