Progress Report for International Journal of Applied Mechanics (IJAM)
Dear All IJAM Contributors,
As 2012 draws to a close, first of all, on behalf of Imperial College Press and the International Journal of Applied Mechanics (IJAM), I would like to take this opportunity on my best wishes to you and your families, wishing you a very good and Happy New Year!
Under your hardworking and support, IJAM has made big progress in last four years. IJAM has become a leading journal and obtained its reputation in Applied Mechanics Community. For example: In its second year, it had been indexed by Web of Knowledge (SCI) and in its third year it achieves its first Impact factor of 1.20 which is quite good sign for IJAM.
In 2012, IJAM has received total about 230 manuscript submissions. Among the total manuscript submissions, 202 manuscripts have been sent to reviewers for peer-review process. Now, the paper accepted rate of IJAM is about 25%. As an International Journal, the distribution of IJAM published paper is quite reasonable (as shown in Fig. 1).
Currently, all published articles are indexed by main databases: such as: Compendex; Current Contents® /Engineering Computing and Technology; INSPEC; Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition; Science Citation Index Expanded (also known as SciSearch®); Scopus and Web of Knowledge.
We are confident of the IJAM journal’s rapid success in the future.
