(In case if you have already received my invitation, please ignore this mail.)

Greetings and best wishes from Institute of Macromolecular Science and  Engineering,  (IMSE), Kottayam, Kerala, India,  Beijing University of  Chemical Technology (BUCT), Beijing, China and Venen-Klinik Dr. Mathew, Klagenfurt, Austria, . We are extremely glad to write to you that we are organizing the Second International Conference on Polymer Processing and Characterization (ICPPC –2010) on January 15, 16 and 17, 2010, Kottayam, Kerala , India .  The last conference on Polymer Processing in 2007 held in BUCT, Beijing , China was a great success.   This conference will cover the following  areas:

Ø    Polymer Processing

Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics Polymer Rheology Compounding and Mixing Extrusion Technology Reactive Extrusion Injection Molding Reactive Injection Moulding Compression and Transfer Moulding Rotational Moulding Blow Moulding Liquid Resin Processing Polymer Solution and Latex processing Processing of Self-assembled Polymer Systems Calendaring and Coating Foam Processing Thermoforming Processing of Macro Micro and Nano-Structured Materials (blends, composites, IPNS, gels etc) Polymer Lithography Micromoulding Reactive Polymer Processing Polymer Processing Using Supercritical Fluids Online Monitoring of Mould Flow Joining, Machining Finishing and Decorating and Computer Modeling and Simulation Radiation Processing.

Ø    Polymer Characterization

Molecular Characterization Mechanical Characterization Viscoelastic and Rheological Characterization Thermal Characterization Electrical Properties Spectroscopy (IR, FTIR, NMR, ESR, UV, Fluorescence) Dielectric Spectroscopy Microscopy (OM,SEM,TEM, AFM, STM) Scattering (Light, X ray, Neutron) PVT Measurements Free Volume Measurements Density Measurements Optical Measurements Permeability and Diffusion Studies.

This conference will be one of the big International meetings exclusively dedicated to Polymer Processing and Characterization. The conference will be extremely useful in the sense that it will be attended by hundreds of Chemists, Physicists, Technologists and Engineers, making it a truly interdisciplinary conference. The goal of the conference emphasizes interdisciplinary research on processing, morphology, structure, properties and applications of polymers, polymer blends, composites, nanocomposites, IPNs, Gels, membranes, polyelectrolytes and their applications in medicine, automotive, civil, chemical, and aerospace, computer and marine engineering. This symposium will bring together a panel of highly-accomplished experts in the field of Polymer Processing and Characterization.  Talks will encompass basic studies and applications and will address topics of novel issues.  During the three-day conference, we will listen to recognized authorities in the field as they discuss recent advances, difficulties, and breakthroughs in the field of Polymer Processing and Characterization.  The conference will feature keynote addresses, a number of plenary sessions, invited talks and contributed lectures focusing on specific tenets of Polymer Processing and Characterization. Additionally, there will be several poster sessions, and four best poster presentations will be selected for the award.

In view of your excellent contributions to the field of Polymer Processing and Characterization, we would like to welcome you to give an invited talk at the conference.  The scientific committee of the conference is aware of your published works in this field. We would appreciate if you could e-mail us a one-page abstract of the talk (in the MS Word format) at the earliest to the conference E mail ID, processing@macromol.in.  An appropriate title could be decided by you.

During the conference there will be a brain storming  discussion meetings in order to submit a joint project to European Union under the Seventh Frame Work of EU-India-China  programme (Fp7) for funding between your country, India , China   and Europe .

Please note that due to budgetary constraints, we are unable to provide any financial assistance. All the participants including invited speakers have to pay the registration fee. The registration fee for the conference is fixed at an affordable rate.
