与控制（自动控制、自动化）相关的人和书和事之———艾什比

提起控制论，于今人们大都先想到维纳(Norbert Wiener)，而忽视了被维纳的光辉掩盖的艾什比(William Ross Ashby)。别的不消说，钱老的工程控制论(Engineering Cybernetics)一书结尾处、展望（当时的）未来的第17章Ultra-stability and Multi-stability（我没敢翻译，戴汝为老师译为“自行镇定与适应环境的系统”），几乎全部取自艾什比的著作。
