Scopus citation data now available in publisher and institutional Altmetric Explorer platformsDear xu We’re excited to announce that Scopus citation data can now be viewed in the details pages for individual research outputs via the Altmetric Explorer for Publishers and Explorer for Institutionsplatforms. This new functionality will allow Explorer users to see Scopus citation counts for each item Altmetric has tracked attention to alongside mentions from policy documents, social networks, Wikipedia and other online media outlets and forums. The citation data can be found by clicking on any of the Altmetric 'donuts' you see in the Explorer. This will load the details page for that item and a ‘Citations’ tab will be visible if citations for the item have been found in Scopus. The tab will list the three most recent citing references along with a direct link to the Scopus database.
In adding this data we hope that it will make it easier for Explorer users to get a more complete picture of how the research has been received by academics as well as amongst a broader audience, and plan to build on this further in future. Please note that this data will not be available in free librarian Explorer accounts. We hope you enjoy this new functionality and please do get in touch if you have any questions! Kind regards, The Altmetric team |
