John O'Keefe, born on November 18, 1939 [2], an American neuroscientist, is a professor of the Department of Anatomy and the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience at University College London. O'Keeffe grew up in New York and received a bachelor's degree from the City University of New York and a doctor's degree from McGill University.
