显微镜 汉斯 扎卡里亚斯·扬森(争议) 荷兰,1590年代
围绕着荷兰的眼镜制造中心的几个人都声称自己是复合显微镜的发明者,尤其是父子二人组汉斯和扎卡里亚斯,以及他们的竞争对手汉斯·利珀普西,后者在1608年申请了第一项望远镜专利。
1650年,荷兰外交官威廉·鲍雷尔写信给法国国王的医生,告知他詹森斯早在1590年代的发明。
