传说故事中的彭祖在历史上真实存在么，是否也活了880岁？

据《太平广记》、《神仙传》等典籍记载，彭祖，姓篯名铿，是上古时期颛顼帝的玄孙，到殷朝时期，彭祖已经七百六十七岁了，还是看不到他有衰老的迹象。为何彭祖能活那么久呢？原来彭祖擅长养生之术，没事就喜欢修行打坐，辟谷服气。另外彭祖还常常服食金丹，他说：“欲举形登天，上补仙官，当用金丹，此九召太一，所以白日升天也。”服食金丹是道教修仙的一种方式，像典籍里记载的马鸣生、左慈等都是这样成仙的。
