时尚与恶魔

米兰最吸引我的当然不是Prada和Gucci，虽然我每天都要经过它们的橱窗；它们代表什么，我没有一丝的意识。
飞机上的节目不多，音乐里找到几支熟悉的交响曲，德沃夏克的《新世界》、贝多芬的《田园》和莫扎特的38，然后胡乱打开几部电影，被The Devil Wears Prada吸引了，看完以后，它改变了我对时尚的态度（当然这态度对别人毫无影响）。
令我改变的是下面的一段台词——Andrea分不清两根腰带的区别，Miranda说：
Oh. Okay. I see. You think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select… I don't know… that lumpy blue sweater, for instance…
because you're trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back.
But what you don't know is that that sweater is not just blue. It's not turquoise. It's not lapis. It's actually cerulean.
And you're also blithely unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves Saint Laurent wasrt it who showed cerulean military jackets? I think we need a jacket here. -Mmm. And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers. And then it, uh, filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic casual corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you're wearing a sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room…
为这段话，我把电影重看了一遍。不过，文字还是从网上找来的，我没有那么好的英文和记忆力。
像Andy那样不为时尚带来的好处“折腰”，对我没有什么特别的感动，因为我大概也能做到一点儿。这段话从我陌生的角度解释了时尚的意义，让我觉悟了，对自己不感兴趣的东西，用不着批判和蔑视。任何东西做到极致都是值得夸耀的。今后，我走过Prada和Gucci的橱窗时，也许会和走进米兰大教堂一样怀着敬畏。
