   谁是“T.  Just”呢？这个问题困扰了我很长时间。在20世纪美国古植物学文献中，我们很少见到“T.  Just”这个作者。所以，我对“T.  Just”几乎没有什么印象。

   2015年5月3日上午,我在翻阅去年有关John Hobart Hoskins （1896--1957）的工作笔记时，“Theodor Just”两个英文单词突然闪现在我的眼前。我很快检索出“T.  Just”，即：原为奥地利人，后加入美国籍的植物学家和古植物学家Theodor Karl Just(1904--1960)！

   Theodor Karl Just1904年出生于奥地利，1960年在美国去世（Oak Park, Illinois）。从检索结果看，虽然Theodor Karl Just发表过很多书评等文章，但是他很少发表原创性的科学成果。所以，20世纪美国古植物学文献中罕见他的名字。

    1957年Theodor Karl Just发表在《美国植物学报》的文章对了解20世纪上半叶美国古植物学很有帮助----
