1912年，Winifred Goldring在Wellesley College获得硕士学位后在该校担任地质学教员，还在波士顿一所师范学校担任助教。

1913年，Winifred Goldring到纽约哥伦比亚大学地质系跟随著名地层古生物学家Amadeus Grabau（1870--1946）学习。

1915--1920年，Winifred Goldring晋升为古生物学家助理（Assistant Paleontologist）。

1920—1925年，担任“Associate Paleontologist”。

1921年夏，Winifred Goldring到位于马里兰州的约翰·霍普金斯大学（The Johns Hopkins University—JHU）跟随著名古植物学家Edward Wilber Berry (1875--1945)学习。

1925--1928年，担任古植物学家（Paleobotanist）。

1928--1932年，担任“Associate Paleontologist”。

1932--1938年，担任“Assistant State Paleontologist”。

1938—1939年，担任“Provisional State Paleontologist”。

1939年，被任命为“State Paleontologist”，Winifred Goldring是全美国获得此职位的第1位女性。
