用爱慰籍心灵：法国神父和科学家德日进与他的红颜知己

德日进(Pierre Teilhard de Chardin,1881--1955)是法国神父、科学家和哲学家，1950年当选为法国科学院院士。自1923年起他先后多次赴中国进行神学和科学活动，他在中国工作和生活20多年，对中国地层古生物学开展了许多先驱性的工作。德日进参与了北京周口店著名的“北京人”的发掘工作。

中国著名地质学家刘东生(1917--2008)生前非常关注德日进的生平和学术思想，2003在发表《东西科学文化碰撞的火花——纪念德日进神父（1881～1955年）来中国工作80周年》之长篇文章。

1881年5月1日德日进生于法国。德日进有个长姐叫Francoise Teilhard de Chardin（1879--1911）于1909年到达中国上海传教（Superior of the Convent of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Shanghai， China）。她不幸于1911年因天花在上海病逝，从此长眠于上海。

1923年4月10日德日进离开法国前往中国天津，这是他第1次远赴中国。途径上海时，他拜谒了他姐姐的墓冢。

1946年3月27日德日进永远离开了中国。

晚年德日进移居美国纽约。1955年4月10日他在纽约病逝，从此长眠于纽约。

Marguerite Teilhard-Chambon (化名Claude Aragonnès)(1880--1959)是德日进的表姐。Marguerite的父亲是Cirice Teilhard-Chambon (1847--1916) 。Marguerite是一位作家。

Lucile Swan(1890--1965)  是美国女雕塑家。

1929年Lucile Swan和德日进在北京相识。Lucile回忆，他们在来中国工作的美国地质学家葛利普教授(Amadeus William Grabau,1870-1946）家举行的一个晚宴上相识。

1941年8月Lucile从秦皇岛港口离开中国。7年后，Lucile Swan和德日进在美国重缝。

德日进是一位传奇人物，也是一位有争议的人物。德日进在神学和科学之间挣扎了一生。德日进的内心世界是复杂的，他的情感生活似乎始终处在矛盾纠结之中。

北京是我的第二故乡。我曾经访问过北京的周口店。如今，我在美国翻阅被人遗忘的故事。历史细节（包括情感细节）固然很生动，但需要时间和精力进行梳理，期望有专家对德日进背后的女性朋友进行深入研究。
