42% of the monoadduct and has four non-equivalent aryl
hydrogens, giving an ABCD pattern with double triplet
resonances centred at 6 7.888, 7.662, 7.578 and 7.538. The
benzyne addend in this isomer is nearest to the cap pentagon,
which is the most electron-deficient region in [70]fullerene as
shown by the position of the resonances for the cage carbon^.^
