the common ground of the different cultures in different countries.

I certainly notice that it is totally different from England and the China. Language, food, even the side you should walk......you even need not keep an eye on these differences, the differences can come to you once you come here.

however, among these differences, you can notice a lot common ground of the different cultures from China and England.

I came here on 17 December. a few days later, it was Dong Zhi on the 22th of December in China, in English it is called the Winter Solstics, midwinter. I had been invited to watch a performance special for celebration of the shortest day in a year. unfortunately, because of the weather, the performance is canceled. My Supervisor, who has never been China, said to me there should have similar celebration in China for the shortest day of one year. indeed. we eat some special food in this day every year. d

Brighton Festivals was open yesterday, it will last for three weeks. in my hometown, we also have miaohui. Every villiage has a special day to celebrate something about the villiage. Normally, local opera is performed in this day.  Brighton Festival also have such event. Yesterday, I saw some people performed in a simply stage.

Brighton Festivals began with a student paradise, which I will show it in the following pictures. could you see the similarity and difference between this paradise and the paradise in the Lantern Festival of China?
