"The data summarized above suggest that small-scale turbulence components are almost always, or simply always, intermittent"


间歇性是小尺度湍流的固有属性,是常态。


"As the Reynolds number increases, the degree of intermittency increases too and simultaneously the scale range (or wave number range) for which there is appreciable intermittency continues to expand. This is clearly seen from the fact that in natural turbulent flows, characterized by especially high Re, and in particular in the free atmosphere and in the interior of the ocean , there was observed the existence of alternating regions of intense turbulence and nonturbulence, i.e. intermittency is observed here even for disturbances from the energy range."


大气大尺度间歇性莫非是小尺度间歇性逆向传播的结果?
