11月4日是美国传统的election day。北京时间明天中午之后，下一届的美国总统不管是有非洲人血统的Barack Obama还是已届七十二岁的老将John McCain，都将会创造美国历史。

我向来觉得在美国那样的社会中，选谁当美国总统在基本政策上都差不了太多。我个人对于Obama和McCain没有严重的偏好，虽然我遇到的美国教授和学生绝大多数都表示对Obama抱有很大的希望。不管怎么讲，相信全世界有很多人都是满怀期待之情，希望尽快知道此次美国总统大选的结果。

这让我想起了百老汇音乐电影West Side Story中的那两段满怀期待的Tonight歌舞片段。在那段Tonight的Ensemble中，音乐剧中不同角色抱着不同期待，各自不同的音乐主题交织在一起最后达到高潮，很值得欣赏。另一段Tonight是爱情二人转，也是不能错过的经典。
