美洲郑和学会简介

设於美京华盛顿的美洲郑和学会成立於2003年，宗旨是继承郑和的远见，推动跨越种族、地区、机构和国界的和谐国际关系。自2010年以来，《坤舆万国全图》揭示为明代人绘制，即郑和实际环球航行，开启世界地理大发现，测绘第一份世界地图。加上欧洲原始文献，地图证据，各种文物、文化遗存在美洲的发现，颠覆了三个历史定案：（1）哥伦布发现美洲大陆; （2）利玛窦为中国带来了世界地理；以及（3）郑和下西洋止于东非。郑和下西洋的零碎信息传到欧洲，才引发了后来欧洲人的大航海。在这基础上，美洲郑和学会将继续发掘新证据，与其他姊妹学会合作，发扬郑和精神。

600年翻案已逐渐得到认可。今年10月25日，美洲郑和学会推选我为会长，以上是学会通过的对外简介。美洲郑和学会是美国多个郑和学会中比较大的一个，会员都是美京比较活跃的华人教授，商界，学者。他们多次邀请我在学会演讲，对明代大航海、中国在地图学上的贡献，有较深的了解，我是首次以非华盛顿区居民作为会长，住处离华盛顿650公里。世界地理大发现的历史更正，与美国华人，以及世界华人的地位，有很重要的影响，不言而喻。希望其他有志之士，共同参与，推进会务。

美国History Channel 2的America Unearthed节目在12月20日介绍了美国出土的宣德金牌与《坤舆万国全图》，是西方媒体首次对此公开报导，虽然报导不长，意义深远。以下用英文比较方便。

Marco Polo Discovers America

Just east of the San Francisco Bay Area are the Berkeley Hills Walls–remnants of a massive, stone wall that stretches a distance of over fifty miles. The wall segments are up to six feet high in some places and are constructed of tightly fit limestone boulders. Scott is in intrigued by the fact that nobody knows who built the wall or even what purpose it serves. The only historical precedent for a miles-long, manmade, ancient wall is the Great Wall of China. Could ancient Asiatic explorers have made it all the way to the North American West Coast? In investigating the theory, Scott uncovers other evidence that could suggest the Chinese with their massive maritime fleet made it to the New World, using maps that were in the possession of Kublai Khan. He also discovers evidence that European explorers knew about China’s epic voyages, including Italian explorer Marco Polo.

This episode also features Professor Gunnar Thompson introducing a few other important maps that worth mentioning. In particular a simplified Chinese world map 山海舆地全图shows two hemispheres with the "Pacific Ocean" labeled in Chinese as 沧溟宗 "the ancestor of all oceans", meaning the biggest ocean of all. This name, absent in the maps by Ortelius and Mercator, implies that Ming Chinese has crossed and surveyed all the major oceans.

这是2010年我在马六甲国际郑和会议发表的论文，2012年出版论文集中第15章。

我已经提过，世界著名的地图历史网站MapHist.nl 将于2015年一月永久关闭，不留存档。这是一种消极肯定我的新说的表示。该网站为世界各国地图历史的重要资料来源，美国国会图书馆多次引用里面的参考。现在进入该网，基本上文章都删掉了。现在证据确凿，认为西方发明地图学的理论基础不能成立，世界地图学是中国的功劳。不留存档，是避免沿用过去的错误。
